2 Way 2.8mm Mini Connector

2 Way 2.8mm Mini Connector

These 2.8mm multi block connectors are commonly used on earlier Japanese motorcycles. They are a very useful and neat way to connect a group of wires eg Kawasaki often used them to join the handle bar switches to the main wiring harness. We often use them when making custom looms or upgrading Italian wiring to wiring that will work for more than a week!

They are easy enough to fit. You simply strip back the insulation on each piece of wire and crimp the terminals to the wires and push them into the relevant block from the back. If you need to pull a pin out simply use a terminal release tool.

You will need a non-insulated crimp tool for these terminals and we would recommend the ratcheting type; you'll only buy it once!

We supply a complete kit of male and female block and the male and female terminals. Usually if one side of a block has over heated or corroded it pays to change male and female plugs for a competant repair.

Connect 6.3mm 250 Type Blaock Connectors

These connectors are widely used in the motorcycle industry with higher current applications.

Used as wire to wire connector & wire to device connector.

Terminal locking is secured by a secondary lock on the connector block housing.

To fit the terminals you will need a non-insulated terminal crimp tool such as this . The more basic ones will work, but the ratchet tool is far nicer to use and well worth the extra few quid.

These are avaiable in 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 pin connectors with male and female connectors in the kit

1way 6.3mm Block Connector

1way 6.3mm Block Connector

6.3mm block connectors are widely used in the automotove industry. They are often found on motorcycles where a higher current will be used that a 2.8mm mini block connector could be overwhelmed by. They are frequently used on the alternator/dynamo circuits.

To fit the terminals you will need a non-insulated terminal crimp tool such as this . The more basic ones will work, but the ratchet tool is far nicer to use and well worth the extra few quid.

Each pack has a male and female block and the requisiite latched terminals. When fitting block using block connectors we recommend applying a small amount of ACF50 corrosion block grease or electrical silicone compound to the terminals before finally pushing them together to protect them from moisture, making the wiring far more reliable and longer lasting
