Delivery

Delivery

We are in the business of selling quality tools, not profiting from deliveries. We don't charge for packaging and just aim to break even on carriage charges.

Our domestic (mainland UK) deliveries are usually sent with APC Priority Expresson a next working day, fully tracked service. Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland often go with Royal Mail depending on the order size, due to the couriers charging a massive premium for these areas. If you live in the Highlands, Islands or Northern Ireland and want to upgrade to our courier please drop us an e-mail at tools@bikerstoolbox.co.uk

Domestic deliveries for orders with a value of up to £150 are charged at £7.99.

Small orders under £20 go APC Priority Express next day for £5.99.

Larger orders with an order value of over £150 will be shipped FREE! The only exceptions are very heavy items like bike lifts which will be shipped at cost.

International Orders

Because of the variety in size and weights of parcels and the variation in the costs of shipping to various places around the world, it is impossible for us to offer a blanket price for international shipping.

We do NOT charge for packaging. When an international order comes in we package it, weigh it, measure it and then get a variety of quotes for different methods of sending it. We will then e-mail you with a number of choices and when you reply we will then send you a PayPal invoice to cover the shipping and once that is paid we will ship your package straight away.

We have encountered issues with our e-mails not being received, due to anti-spam software. We believe that some e-mail services, particularly Microsoft Hotmail and Googlemail can be very suspicious of e-mails from countries other than your own. We usually respond to orders very quickly, so if you do not hear from us within two working days please contact us.

Royal Mail tend to be the cheapest for long distances for small, low value packages, but they often don't offer tracking and TBH in our experience claims for lost parcels are so badly handled that we suggest that you regard their 'insurance' as not insured. For higher value items we would always suggest using FedEx, TNT, UPS or DPD booked through InterParcel as packages are properly tracked and insured. Because, you the customer, choose your delivery service, any lost or damaged parcels will be at your risk. In fairness to Royal Mail, in our experience, they very rarely lose stuff .

VAT, Sales Taxes, Import Duties etc.

Countries outside the UK will not be charged VAT (sales tax), but your countries government may levie some taxes on your package and the delivering courier may also chrage some customs administration fees. Particularly in the EU, we feel some couriers are taking advantage of the Brexit situation to ramp up charges.

Republic of Ireland

Parcels to Ireland can go with Royal Mail or DPD booked through Interparcel

PO Boxes

In our experience the vast majority, if not all, couriers will not deliver to postal boxes. We will not always recognise an overseas postal box address, particularly if the language is not English, and the first we will know is if the item is refused and returned, so please do not supply us with PO Box addresses, it helps no one.

Batteries

Some couriers will not allow batteries to be shipped internationally, presumably as counter terrorism measures, so any items that have batteries included will have them removed before we send them out.

If you have any queries about deliveries please feel free to contact us at tools@bikerstoolbox.co.uk

Please don't order from overseas without the expectation of paying the costs of carriage. We have to put in a lot of work to package products for export and the paperwork is very onerous so we will charge 20% of the order cost (with a £5 minimum) for orders cancelled once packaged. Please play fair!
