Most bikes have wiring that is necessarily running very close to the hot engine unit and so must be protected and woven heat resistant sleeve is the best way to protect these cables. The standard wire insulation will be damaged over time if note protected which can lead to failures and shorts.
This product is made from braided 'E' glass yarn coated with acrylic resin. It is suitable for continuous heat of 155?C (Class F). It is resistant to abrasion which is important for protecting wiring subject to road debris being fired at it from the tyres.
The 6mm is perfect for three 2mm² wires from an alternator. You can even slip in two 1mm² wires for the neutral switch and oil pressure light if need be, based on using our thin wall wire, though it is little free space. We always finish of the end with a bit of heat shrink which stops the woven heat shrink from moving and looks like a more professional job
We have now introduced 4mm heat resistant sleeve as this is useful when you only have a small number of 1mm² wire for instance points or CDI pickups which have to run against the hot engine.

Well made and right for the job
Great little set for the money. I'd already got a six-piece set of JIS screwdrivers and some individual ones but was loath to leave them at the bike-shop i work in so i bought these and am more than happy.
