This tool is pretty much the same as the more expensive Laser tool, above, but you need a spanner to use it rather than the supplied handle above. This set used to come with the handle, as can be seen by the case moulding, but they have been able to slash the price by not making the handles.
Using this 9 piece set, bearings are simply pressed in.
There is a bearing seating tool to start off the installation of taper roller bearings.
We have never found such an elegant solution to installing headstock bearings. Before we discovered this tool we spent hours machining up metal on the lathe to install bearings, but this is a fabulous tool ensuring that bearings are installed properly and quickly.

The tool works perfectly and is a good alternative to the original. It's a shame that the UK is no longer in the EU. Customs duties make it expensive, but I couldn't find anything cheaper on the European mainland.
