We bought one of these sets years ago and now wonder how we ever managed without it. It has two methods for extracting bearings, one being the slide hammer as with the above set and also frame work with legs where you draw the bearing out with a threaded device. The latter method we have always found preferable, especially when using a ratchet spanner.
There are collets for bearings with an inside diameter of 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 17mm, 20mm, 30mm and 32mm, which we have found covers the vast majority of bearings found on the motorcycles we work on. We have used the set on gear box bearings, wheel bearings, swing arm bearings, final drive bearings to name but a few.
You'll be using this fantastically versatile tool years after you have forgotten what it cost.

A really decent measuring instrument. A good quality "feel' to it. Also a nice box to keep it in, stop it rattling around in your toolbox. Not just a cheap thin plastic wallet. I will be keeping and using this for a long time.
Strangely though, it has NO vernier scale, and so is not really a VERNIER caliper. Strange but true!
