Setting the fluid level in front forks accurately is critical to the safe handling of your bike and this tool makes it a piece of cake.
The vast majority of workshop manuals will give you an air height for the fluid level ie the measurement from the top of the fork tube to the fluid level often with spring out and the fork at maximum compression. You simply tighten up the setting screw on the aluminium ring at the correct air height, fill the fork tube to approximately the correct height, by eye and then a little bit more. Push the metal tube into the fork leg and suck the excess fluid out using the syringe; when the fluid is at the correct height the syringe will start to suck air instead of suspension fluid. You then move to the next leg safe in the knowledge that both legs will contain exactly the same height of fluid.
Our experience is that the syringes with this product don't last forever with the interaction with suspension fluid and we would advise you to clean it out thoroughly after use. The syringe can be exchanged for a vacuum brake bleeding tool. The syringes on the professional version last much longer, so if you are stripping a lot of forks it is a better buy.

from 188 reviewsVery happy with the tape and big thanks to the lads at bikers toolbox.

I have bought stuff from Bikers Toolbox and as usual I am always happy with my purchase and delivery. 3 in 1 oil is a must in any garage or shed.

Incredible value pliers that have replaced a nasty pair made of cheese in my toolbox.
Not had to use them yet but must be an improvement 😊

Excellent multi tool and good quality for the money.
