1mm² gauge wire is suitable for the vast majority of wiring on motorcycles with 12volt electrical systems. 2mm² tends only to be used for heavy current circuits such as feeds to and from the alternator and the ignition switch main control. 6 volt systems use a higher current so sometimes need a heavier wire ie 2mm²

Good quality tool

I am very pleased with the crimping tool as it is ideal for my diy requirements.

Good little tool

I am very pleased with the compact wire strippers as they are nice and lightweight.
You can adjust a slider in the jaws so that all of your wires can be stripped to exactly they same length.
I would recommend this tool as it seems good value for money and hopefully will last a while.

Tyre fitting paste -A Godsend

I hate changing tyres, but this stuff made the job much easier.
I broke the bead on the old tyre then applied the paste with a paint brush. Ten year old Bridgestone slid off easily and the new Heidenau, with very stiff sidewalls, was fitted much more easily than when I’d tried with washing-up liquid.
