It's one thing to have a free flowing straight through pipe on your bike to help it breath, but ultimately you're going to attract the unwelcome attentions of Mr Plod. If you fill the can around the perforated tube with this packing sheet then you will keep the lovely deep roar of a straight through pipe, but it'll take the offensive edge from the note.
This product is easy to use, and is available in 3 popular can lengths, but can be trimmed to suit. No need for wire wool, simply wrap the sheet around the perforated pipe and trim the sheet to the required amount of packing - the sheets are 1000mm long.
Once the can heats up, the low melting point threads that compress the contents of the sheet, melt allowing the packing to expand and fill the available space. They're particularly great for irregular shaped cans such as ovals.

A really decent measuring instrument. A good quality "feel' to it. Also a nice box to keep it in, stop it rattling around in your toolbox. Not just a cheap thin plastic wallet. I will be keeping and using this for a long time.
Strangely though, it has NO vernier scale, and so is not really a VERNIER caliper. Strange but true!
