Good quality 9 piece metric screw, bolt and stud extractor kit. No one wants shear off bolts etc, but in the real world they do fail from time to time, for a number of reasons and if you can get them out yourself it's a major bonus.
Extracting screws and bolts, even with the best equipment, isn't child's play and requires a good degree of accuracy drilling the pilot holes. Using cheap 'easy outs' are a very bad idea indeed and the name is an oxymoron! They will invariably snap off and then you're really in the do do, with a visit to an engineer with a spark erosion machine where you will have a reasuringly high bill.
If you're going to extract sheared off threaded fasteners, ensure that you are very careful, particularly with the small sizes. Whilst these are excellent industrial quality, no tool is indestructable if you apply too much torque. Ensure that you drill the remains of the fastener dead centre with a good quality drill bit. It doesn't hurt to pilot drill the holes and open them up a tiny bit at a time. If it is a steel bolt in aluminum alloy heat the area up as much as is safe and use a pentrating oil such as ACF50.

from 43 reviewsItem was very easy to use and matched the Yamaha components I was trying to rewire
Works a treat
A lot less messy than using electrical tape.
This product is something of have been keeping an eye out for for a while. At the original asking point it was too expensive, in my opinion. At the discounted price I purchase at, a bargain!
These are not an everyday tool, although you could probably use them as such, at least to a degree. When space limited these are brilliant. I think it is a shame that Laser is dropping them from the range, but understand that probably many people, like myself, were put off by the original price.
What's good? The 3/8" drive, range of socket sizes, extension (with angle drive) cover all the normal requirements of repair and maintenance. The wrench feels good quality and the release mechanism really nice. The hole through the centre of the sockets, being able to hold adjustment screws while tightening with a socket, fantastic! Nice to have are the adapters for standard 3/8" and 1/4" drive. I can imagine that while I have this tool in my hand switching to standard 3/8" sockets by slipping in this adapter is a really nice feature to have. The service from Biker's Toolbox and the fact that they carry tools like this, is also big advert in their favour.
What's not good? I imagine that the price was increased from the inclusion of the 1/4" sockets and extensions. These will probably never get used in my set. I have a great collection of 1/4" wrenches and sockets, which I actually use a huge amount on motorcycles, cars a bit less.
Conclusion: The tool set is great, but needs to be a bit less expensive. How often I have wished to have a low profile set of sockets in the past and having to use a spanner instead is numerous. I hope that Laser may consider rationalising what is included in the set to lower the price point and reinstate this tool into the range. It is a great addition to any home mechanics tool set!
Have had a socket set for years but this one looked very different to your standard set. I now use it as my go-to socket set as it is so much easier to use.
Just so much more refined for removing bearings!
Saves damaging other components or the surroundings when extracting bearings.

This socket set was discounted by Biker’s Toolbox and therefore was a great price. It’s well made, looks sturdy and l’m confident it’ll be a useful addition to my tool kit.

The 31 pc socket set was my first purchase from Bikers Toolbox, it seems excellent quality very good value.

Very useful socket set. The feature allowing the bolt to pass through the socket is great.
