Expandable braided sleeving is flame retardant and halogen free. It offers durable abrasion resistance in a wide range of industrial applications. The open weave construction allows easy installation on a bundle of hoses and cables. The construction of the braid allows the sleeving to be expanded up to 300%. Ideal for applications in cable harnesses where wire and cable are required to have tough and durable protection.
Nominal sizes indicate flat width. The sleeving has an expandable character, the below sizes are to the nearest standard size.
Nominal Flat Size: 5mm Expands from 3mm to 9mm
Nominal Flat Size: 8mm Expands from 5mm to 12mm
Nominal Flat Size: 12mm Expands from 8mm to 17mm
Nominal Flat Size: 20mm Expands from 13mm to 33mm
It should be noted that whilst this product gives great protection it frays very easily so should be melted on the end or finished as shown in the pictures with heat shrink sleeve, which is our preferred method of use.

A really decent measuring instrument. A good quality "feel' to it. Also a nice box to keep it in, stop it rattling around in your toolbox. Not just a cheap thin plastic wallet. I will be keeping and using this for a long time.
Strangely though, it has NO vernier scale, and so is not really a VERNIER caliper. Strange but true!
