Many bikes, especially classic two strokes like Kawasaki H1, H2, S1, S2, S3, KHs etc had inaccurate ignition marks from the factory, some so bad that if you timed the bike from them you would be holing pistons! Many factory workshop manuals admit this. Many set the timing mark as a piston height before TDC (Top Dead Centre). This means that you screw the applicable adapters into the spark plug hole to hold the dial gauge in the correct place and turn the engine over until the piston is shown by the dial gauge indicates the piston to be at the top of the stroke or TDC. You can then turn the engine backwards until the dial indicates that you have dropped the correct amount eg Kawasaki S2 fires with the piston at 2.4mm before TDC (BTDC) and you can then re-mark the flywheel or back plate correctly. This kit contains a dial gauge, extensions for the dial gauge plunger, adapter for the dial gauge and an extension for this adapter and adapters to fit 10mm, 12mm and 14mm plug holes. This is a professional set but, as can be seen from the photo, the plating on some of the adapters leaves a bit to be desired. Whist we don't like the quality of finish it is a perfectly useable product at a very good price.

from 318 reviewsIt is very easy to use and understand, and I say this because I've no experience with electrics, and it's safe to use. I was also impressed with the build quality.

excellent value.- fits in the tiny space under my seat - brilliant service as usual from BikersToolBox

An extremely useful addition to my toolkit

It's a very neat little set, seems well made, 6 point sockets are a good thing. It's a pity that there wasn't a 14mm socket, rather than the very small ones. It took me a little while to work out how to release sockets from the ratchet head, press the little button, doh... Which raises an issue with the ratchet mechanism. If you are using the tool in the T handle mode, as a screwdriver for example, it is not possible to change the ratchet direction without releasing the Roto Lock clamp and angling the ratchet head to access the direction change control on the rear of the head. Neither does it seem possible to lock the ratchet in a middle position. Unless I am being particularly dense, of course.

These soft jaws are brilliant because they be fitted and removed very easily.
No damage or marking of parts and they grip very well indeed.
Highly recommended

Great tool, so easy to use and a perfect crimp every time. Should have bought this tool years ago. Well worth the money

Always brilliant, just when you think all is lost "Bikers Tool Box" saves the day. Thanks.

exactly what I wanted No more stripped out screw heads Will be using them shortly

Bloody good piece of kit, expensive because I had it shipped to france, but worth it, plus I got another sticker and some sweeties 😃 would recommend

Did the job at a fair price.

Although at the budget end of the range, a great vacuum brake bleed tool. Easy to use with lots of adaptors to suit all types of bleed nipples and plenty of tubing. Huge thanks to Ralph for sorting everything with this order.

Superb product. And really helpful advice from Bikers Toolbox.
I needed a couple of things confirmed. They had the answers immediately!
Definitely use them again
