This tool is used to hold the damper rod still in forks when dismantling, so that the bottom bolt can be undone. Once the bottom bolt, usually a cap screw, is released the fork stanchions can be removed from the bottom slider. This tools is commonly used on various KX, Z and KZ Kawasaki models. The back takes a 3/8" drive socket bar. The cone is from 10.5 - 17.8mm <

To begin with I struggled a bit to get a perfect closure of the pins, but I haven't got the best pliers, just a cheap one. It took me some time to figure out which way to align the pins in the plier, when I figured it out it all worked fine.

I was struggling to get the brake Piston out of the housing. Bearing in mind it was 21 years old and sized solid, I thought it wasn't going to move let alone come out. his tool after trying all of my normal tools which which failed, I ordered these.
