This product really is the Dogs' when it comes to engine building. It is a non-hardening jointing compound, which is fine with higher temperatures making it suitable for the vast majority of applications on both classic and modern, air cooled and water cooled motorcycle engines and gear boxes. It was originally developed by Rolls Royce and is now made under licence. It is in its element for joining the crankcases where there is not usually a gasket. It doesn't block oilways and is easy to use. We usually paint it on with cheap artists paint brushes which we buy from the cheapo supermarkets.
Especially with classic bikes, we tend to paint all mating surfaces with Wellseal, even when using gaskets. We even use it on head gaskets. It is a bit belt and braces, but you're far less likely to get an oil leak if you apply Wellseal as well as the gasket.
Sorry about the increase in cost - the manufacturers have just made a huge increase to us 😢

Only had to use it twice, we get a lot of off-road tackle through the shop, but it does make a useful difference to a sometimes annoying little job.
Great service, the sodium ion battery punches well above the normal battery, weighs next to nothing and doesn’t cost a fortune. The help and advice from Ralph was much appreciated too!

Well made and right for the job
Great little set for the money. I'd already got a six-piece set of JIS screwdrivers and some individual ones but was loath to leave them at the bike-shop i work in so i bought these and am more than happy.
The set is doing everything i could ask of it and provides better access most of the time in tight-spots.
