Please note: Due to unprecedented demand followings Ralph Ferrand's article about this product in Classic Motorcycle Mechanics magazine, not only has the British arm of the German supplier run out of stock, but so has the Hanover warehouse. We have been told that we should expect new stock at the end of June or the first week of July depending on how arsey customs are.
Latest update 6th July We have just contacted the Germans and have been told that there have been more delays, but stock is expected into Hanover 24th July so hopefully they will be sent to us without too much delay after that.
Not heard of Sodium Ion batteries? You will do shortly - they are the latest battery technology with a very much greener pedigree than Lithium Ion as Lithium is expensive and has an environmentally damaging extraction process, not to mention the human exploitation of poor people often seen in it's sourcing. Sodium is abundant the world over and can be extracted from sea water and we're really not short of that!
Sodium Ion batteries are cheap to make and we have had a battery given to us to test - It has to be said we're impressed. Although there is only a small handful of these batteries coming into the UK currently from our supplier we have the one we're offering here on our 955i Speed Triple and it works a treat, although a fraction of the size of the specified battery it has half as much cold cranking power on tap and weighs a fifth of the weight. They have double terminals to make it easier to fit in your bike.
Unlike lead acid batteries these batteries don't discharge from an internal resistance and even if you do totally discharge them there is no damage, which occurs with lead acid batteries. They charge much faster.
The standard battery on our guinea pig Triumph is 12 amp/hour and this one is only 3, but it it provides 300 CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) against the stock batteries 200CCA. It seems that you don't actually need the larger capacity on a bike unless for some reason you want use your electrics for an extended time without the engine running - to be honest I can't imagine a time when one would?
This battery weighs less than a kilo and should last for five times more cycles than a lead acid battery. It will take fast charging and is leak proof.

from 618 reviewsVery friendly and helpful First class service. Very good prices, fast shipping.thanks.
Dyna ignition to GSX Katana wiring harness.
Just the job to carry out a proper connection rather than the pre-insulated crimps supplied by Dyna.
Neat, tidy and secure.
They’re rubber grommets in a box. They look like Pontefract Cakes with a hole in the middle, but don’t eat them! Use them too protect cables or wiring going through an opening in a panel or an enclosure.
OK?
Bought to make up a harness with sleeving, did the job nicely
Really good site. Easy to use and everything I needed. Also very helpful when I rang with a question.
Great items, great prices did the job exactly as I wanted
Quick delivery and did job fine.
Always supply exactly what I need, and I always get exactly what I wanted. My go to shop for bike bits
I am very pleased with the crimping tool as it is ideal for my diy requirements.
There are many more expensive types on the market but this fits my budget and works well, with good results.
I would recommend this tool as it works perfectly well and at a reasonable price.
Thanks to bikers tool box fot the fast service.
I am very pleased with the compact wire strippers as they are nice and lightweight.
You can adjust a slider in the jaws so that all of your wires can be stripped to exactly they same length.
I would recommend this tool as it seems good value for money and hopefully will last a while.
Thank you to bikers tool box for the rapid service.
Really quick delivery and a great addition when rebuilding bluespots.
Quality item, so much better than generic kit you can get on line. Repeat customer, says it all.
Fantastic done the job thank you
