This is a medium strength thread locker and sealer that will work even if there is some oil on the threads, as there always is. In the real world none of us has the time to get all the grease out of the threads of a nut or bolt, so this is the solution. Clearly you don't want the threads filled with oil, but they need no more clearing than a wipe with a dry rag or wipe.
There is a common misconception that thread lock is only about preventing fixings coming loose; in reality it is also used to seal the threads which is of huge benefit on motorcycles. In many positions on a bike you have either stainless or mild steel bolts, screws etc in aluminium alloy components. Combined with moisture this sets up bi-metal galvanic corrosion, which is very bad news. This results in the destruction of the alloy threads causing weakness. If the threads are coated with threadlock and seal before assembly, the threads are sealed against the ingress of water. We always use thread lock and seal even if using spring washers etc.
Although buying smaller bottles is more expensive per ml, you don't really want to buy more than you will use in a year. Storing glues and thread locks in the fridge will extend the shelf life considerably.

from 380 reviewsPerfect as my aluminium ones were on their last legs
Good quality connector and terminals.
Perfect for a tidy wiring loom
Quality items delivered quickly.
Good crimps. Brilliant for joining wire and the shrink tube provided is a bonus. A used a crimping tool I already had and it worked fine
Great service, great items exactly as description 👍
Good quality and crimp well
The only way to work on Japanese bikes without knackering up the screw heads. Fit perfectly in to a hex adaptor or impact driver
Not used these yet, however, they appear to be good quality and also referenced from the Haynes Manual for the Ducati Scrambler 803 so I'm hopeful these will allow me to do the belt change with minimal issues.
Arrived quickly and does what it says on the tun. Thank you 😊
I fitted this on Bikers Toolbox Advice to my 1967 Positive Earth Triumph that I was fitting with LED indicators, but i wired the flasher with L to Live from the battery as advised ( normally L is to indicator and B to battery). It worked a treat
