This tool can be used to lock an engine piston thereby facilitating the removal of crankshaft nuts. The tool has a domed plastic end to prevent damage to the surface of the piston, making it an invaluable tool when working on two stroke engines.
That said, it must be used with caution because if undue force is applied to the crankshaft it may be possible to damage either the tool or the piston, crank, connecting rod and/or bearings. The use of high torque impact wrenches would not be advised and we sell this with the assumption that the user will have sufficient experience to understand what is a safe torque to use.
Particularly recommended for KTM XC, EXC, SX 300, 250, 200, 125 and 50cc machines.

Well made and right for the job
Great little set for the money. I'd already got a six-piece set of JIS screwdrivers and some individual ones but was loath to leave them at the bike-shop i work in so i bought these and am more than happy.
The set is doing everything i could ask of it and provides better access most of the time in tight-spots.
