|Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept card payments using PayPal.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
|Shipping And Handling Orders up to £20 in value (excluding VAT) will be shipped for £4.99. Items over £20 (ex VAT) but below £150.00 (ex VAT) will be shipped for £7.99. Orders over £150.00 (excluding VAT) will be shipped free of charge.
Certain heavy items, such as some bike lifts, have to be shipped with a pallet company and will therefore have a different cost for carriage, If you are ordering a heavy item and live off the UK mainland, eg Isle of Man, please contact us for a shipping cost.
If you live outside the UK we will have to package your order, weigh and measure it and then advise you of shipping cost options. Once you have chosen your preferred method we will send you a PayPal invoice and once this has been paid we will ship your goods to you. Please be aware that you choose your method of carriage and we cannot be held responsible for your parcel once it leaves us, particularly if it is not tracked or insured. Our reputation and repeat business is very important to us and we will at all times bend over backwards to help our customers, but we cannot be held responsible for the vaguaries of parcel carriers or customs officials. We do appreciate this is not ideal, but currently, it is the only way in which we are able to ship outside the UK. Due to the high levels of international internet fraud, we reserve the right to decline any order we suspect may not be 100%. Customs officials in different countries behave in different ways; In the UK, buying from the other countries is a lottery duty wise, some times we pay, other times they don't. We will always fill in customs forms correctly, as in our experience failing to tick every box in the correct colour of pen, can delay parcels or have them returned to us. Please be aware that couriers will not allow batteries to be shipped overseas, so any items with batteries included will have them removed for international shipping. International order cancellations - if you change your mind about an order after we have packaged it we will charge a 20% restocking fee to cover our costs, due to the amount of work our end.. So PLEASE be aware that there will be costs involved with buying products outside you own country, before ordering.
|Delivery Schedule We keep most of our products in stock and will usually ship the same day by next day courier for mainland Britain. Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland are prohibitively expensive with courier firms so these will often be shipped by Royal Mail.
If we run short of stock of a product, we will usually get it to us next working day and ship it as above. Occasionally, particularly with specialist products, they may have to be ordered from a non-UK supplier, in which case there will be an extra delay, but in this situation we will always let you know by e-mail or telephone what the situation is.
If there is any damage to the products, please inform us as soon as possible, certainly with 48 hours. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
|Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
|Tax Charges We do not charge any VAT (sales tax) for any international sales, but your customs officials may. This is between you and the government of your country.
|Credit Card Security Our payments are all handled by PayPal, who operate a secure environment to pay for goods.
|Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction, if you have any problems with our products, please drop us an e-mail and we will do our utmost to clear up the matter.
Many of our products are covered by a manufacturers lifetime warranty. This is a good and genuine warranty, covering the tool against defects in manufacture for life; it doesn't however cover parts that have a finite life and are user replaceable, such as the pawls in a ratchet wrench. If you have used a ratchet in a workshop for twenty years and the pawls wear out that is not a warranty case, but we can supply a repair kit; however if a spanner split then that would be very much a warranty claim. We will be 100% fair with claims; we do not want to tarnish our name with shoddy treatment, but if a tool has clearly been abused causing it's early demise then it will not be replaced as the manufacturer will not reimburse us.

|Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the UK Distance Selling Directive.
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund of the product cost. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Any goods returned should be in unused, saleable condition.
These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
Please be aware that certain items, such as some professional bike lifts, are built especially for you and as such are
not covered by the usual distance selling rules.
If orders from overseas do not have the carriage paid, after the order has been packed, weighed, measured and quotations have been sought and offered we will refund the cost price minus a 30% re-stocking fee to go towards the amount of time and effort involved in preparing overseas orders. We do not charge for packaging and do not mark up carriage costs on overseas orders.
